  2. “Melissa Juice” at a minute and a half is the EP’s best song. Simple though it may be, it has two things that this duo is excellent at: pretty melodies and a distant, weighty beat. “Iced Cooly”, on the other hand, plays with textures that would be at home on an Aphex Twin album, although it maintains a distinct Boards of Canada melody.

Originally released on vinyl in and limited to copies through the Music70 label, the Twoism EP set a high standard for future BoC output and was the record that got them noticed by the Skam recored label who later signed them and released their "Hi-Scores E.P.". I've heard cool things about this band, so I was eager to get my hands (and ears) on them. While this EP doesn't blow anything out of the water, "Twoism" is still a solid set of IDM tunes with some interesting textures.
