  4. Rotunda from Tulsa, Ok "Don't Mess With Bill" from brings back a lot of memories of starting college, life changes, & new relationships. The song was climbing the charts, getting great airplay, & was a resurgence of The Marvelettes' career. This was followed by the fabulous hit "Hunter Gets Captured by The Game" which I loved just as well.

  7. "Don't Mess with Bill" was the Marvelettes' final Top 10 single. The titular "Bill" referenced in the song is not an allusion to the song's author, Bill "Smokey" Robinson. Robinson reports that he chose the name because it fit the lyrics, not because it was his. "Don't Mess With Bill" has also been recorded and released by Monalisa Young.
  8. The release includes Motown's first-ever number one hit, 'Please Mr Postman' by the Marvelettes. Marvin Gaye - Hitch Hike, Martha & The Vandellas - Nowhere To Run, and two from The Marvelettes - Please Mr Postman & Don't Mess With Bill. The acapellas include the latter song from The Marvelettes, and the same songs again from Jimmy Ruffin Reviews:
